These are my, professional development goals from October of the 2003-04 school year. That year, I was a third-year teacher, a second-year physics teacher and was teaching my seventh new course and developing my third new course. Additionally, they had me doing Upper School scheduling, running student activities, coaching volleyball and preparing to be Science Department Head.

And my response to those pro-dev goals three months later. That was an intense year.

Our school received an endowment for professional development the following year (2004) and I applied to be one of the inaugural Teece Fellows and build a new course called science workshop (in addition to learning a lot of new things). Grants were $3,000.
