This project, a great one by former colleague Sarah Rainwater, was also not selected. Some people just don’t know quality when they see it.

I do recall that the people on that team took the rejection pretty hard. It is important to remember that conferences and programs have their own goals, their own politics and you never know what their application pool looked like. The only way to not get selected is to not submit a proposal.

I tried again in 2017 with no luck despite a strong application.
